To ensure that all of your proceedures here at our clinic are as pleasant as can be, we must insist that the following instructions be followed for the safety and care of all our patients.
- The patient is to make arrangements for an adult companion if the dentist so indicates, prior to and after dental treatment and/or surgery.
- The patient should expect some discomfort after surgery or other dental procedures.
- The patient should be prepared to be medicated prior to surgery.
- The patient agrees to forego the use of alcoholic beverages and to not smoke before and after surgery.
- Diabetic patients will adhere to all diets prescribed by their physician. Any patient having a low blood sugar condition must eat high protein foods for at least two hours prior to the surgery.
- Patients should wear short sleeve shirts or blouses to maintain adequate body temperature and to avoid stains on their clothes.
- Any patient who has a partial or totally removable denture should bring it to his or her appointment.
- Each patient will be required to complete all proper documentation before any dental services or surgical procedures, including the placement of dental implants.
- All patients shall consult with their family physician prior to proceeding with dental services and/or surgery to determine if their blood pressure will be at a normal level.
- The patient agrees to read and follow-up with all pre and post-operative care instructions provided by the dentists and to further inform the dentists of any sudden change in his or her general or oral health.
- The patient is encouraged to ask any and all questions expressing concerns prior to the performance of dental care, treatment or surgery including the placement of dental implants.
